In Nepal, Kathmandu, the Pariyar family has been making clothes for centuries. It has been a generational craft in our name. It's said that our ancestors tailored by looking at the person without measuring them — and it would fit perfect.
As far as I remember, my grandpa and dad can do it too. The garments we make are merely an accessory to the smile that's worn with them.
This emotion in making clothes that bring smiles to the faces of the people who wear them is in our blood. It's all about putting good luck and love into the clothes — this is the real quality you are wearing.
And it's not a fictional thing. Because we live this way. This is our culture — and we want you to see it, and to help us spread this love around the world.

Kathmandu is one of the few places on earth where wild-grown hemp, generational tailoring, and hand-dyeing all still exist in the same region. That is not a marketing coincidence — it is why jaivik is possible at all.
Building here means we don't have to ship fibre halfway round the world to be spun, then again to be tailored, then again to be sold. It stays in the valley until the moment it leaves for you.
It also means the money you spend goes to the people whose knowledge made the garment — not to a middle chain of factory agents.

in-house tailoring
Every cut, every seam, every finish happens within jaivik.production — no outsourced floors, no mystery suppliers. The cost of fair labour is built into the price, never shaved off it.
long-term relationships
We aren't chasing the cheapest factory this season. We've built a long-term partnership with one family and their community, so the people who make our clothing are stable, not seasonal.

Every garment can be traced back through tailoring, weaving, retting and harvest — to the valley and the hands the fibre came from.
